Experience Magical Candlelight Concerts In Stunning Open-Air Chicago Spaces This Summer
Escape to a glittering Chicago rooftop this summer at these enchanting Candlelight classical music concerts.
You can still experience an absolutely magical (and safe) summer here in Chicago, and part of that is thanks to the amazing outdoor spaces the city has to offer. Luckily, Fever Originals is bringing its wildly popular Candlelight concert series to open-air venues for the season, from stunning rooftops and terraces to enchanting secret gardens.
The series showcases classical music performances in an utterly magical setting, as top musicians are completely surrounded by flickering candlelight. For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
And of course, the new open-air venues will allow for a stylish but safe socially distant setting. Enjoy an amazing views as you sip refreshing drinks and are whisked away by the beautiful, tranquil sounds of classical numbers.
You can already be a classical fan, but you can still simply sit back and savor the stunning pieces you’ll hear. Programs include classics like Bach and Beethoven, as well as Jazz programs and even pop and movie soundtracks played on strings.
There will be two shows each evening with time beforehand at most locations to enjoy a few sips. Please note that the earlier performance will take place during daylight hours, so the space will not be quite as dark, but still just as enchanting!
Beginning July 23, you can experience the equally unique performance of The Vivaldi’s Summer Concerto and Classic Movie Hits. The Hidden Courtyard will also set the stage for the Miles Davis Classic Quintet performed by the Chicago Soul Spectacular, in which the group will perform sublime, sultry, and smooth jazz numbers from the iconic quintet. Last but not least, you can witness soul-stirring renditions of Mozart’s best works by Lisker Music Ensemble string quartet.
Drinks and snacks will be catered by Hospitality201 and available for separate purchase at the venue. Or, you can opt to purchase a concession ticket prior to the show for a safer, quicker process.
Here, you can listen to the Metropolis String Quartet play enchanting renditions of Bach, Copland, and some of The Beatles’ greatest hits. Additionally, the Prairie will host Chicago Soul Spectacular featuring Rashada Dawan. The group will perform a series of iconic jazz numbers which will weave together the story of the African American experience in jazz music and how it shaped American history. Finally, the Prairie will celebrate 250 years of Beethoven with a wonderful showcase!
You’ll be able to purchase tickets in groups of two, three, or four. Attendees can also have a meal and/or cocktail before or after the show at the City Mouse, the hotel’s first-floor patio restaurant.
